| | Whomadewho - "Satisfaction" | ] | Since Salty aka LJuser equals sneaked_curoo seems to be constantly doing surveys, I thought I'd create my own, composed of some questions I thought of while in the shower and see if she would do it. If anyone else (I'm thinking of you here Jay-Sun, though it may not be impersonal enough for you) fancies doing it then go for it. And because its nonsense it's behind an LJ-cut ( Read more... ) I have other stuff to update about so will try to get back online soon. |

| | Sylvie Vartan and Axelie Red - son of a preacher man (dutch) | ] | I've been sleeping during the evening again, so now I'm somewhat hyper, therefore I thought I'd give the whole LJ thing another try. First things first, a bit about my changed ciurcumstances. I'm now no longer a student ( I sat my last exam in June and ended up with a 2.2. BA degree in International History aqnd Politics, this means that, rather aginst my will I am now no longer a student ( the university wouldn't let me go on to an MA unless I got a 2.1. or better). As a consequence of this, I've got an appointment with the bank tomrrow which promises to be a bundle of laughs, oh well, you just get used to things never turning out like you had wanted.
In other news, I'm stealing this meme from ljuser equals and if you don't read his lj by now, you should, he's the seinfeld of livejournal. These combinations made me laugh, though I'mn not happy with any of the actors playing me, if given the choice I think I'd like to be played by ice cube.
Mister_t2 in The Uncool Way to Stab | In this non-stop bloodbath, mister_t2 (Tim Allen) is a shady hitman with a really nice holiday house. He must get to sneaked_curoo (Andie MacDowell) before his former partner, (Colin Firth), blackmails her. Imagining that this plight is reversible, he forces his way into a subterranean stronghold. The Uncool Way to Stab promises not to be just another movie where people get kicked in the face. It fails to live up to that promise.
Mister_t2 in Class of the Year | mister_t2 (Tobey Maguire) has no one to blame but himself, and he knows it. Because of his less-than-sterling school record, his lack of schoolyard weaponry is being picked on, and , his friend from detention (Tom Felton), is lobbying against the necessity of clothing. sneaked_curoo (Hilary Duff) wishes for all the suspicion that is focused on her, although many of the cast and crew were injured during both takes.
I've been having a lot of violent dreams lately, which worries me: I feel no need to resort to violent solution IRL so why is it my first instinct in dreams? Despite this I was impressed at my efficient subduing of a burglar using the flat of a fire axe, I clearly have mad crimefighting instincts. I may return to the unsettling subhject of my nocturnal imgainings later unless who ever reads this is sick of it already.
Today I watched the british film, Yasmin http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0420333/ it was really eye-opening and incredibly well-observed. Jason, if possible find a copy of this film, you will really appreciate it.
Also, my friend kitton is on holiday in europe and is being blogged about by the kittonette at http://www.europeanjaunt.blogspot.com, another friend of mine tdt is also blogging / holidaying but I can't remember the site name.
As a final note, Lynne Cheney's lesbian romp sisters is now worth $250 a copy thanks to its notoriety and the author's disavowal of it. If only I had 250 bucks... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0451112040/qid=1123811125/sr=8-10/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl14/002-5024734-9124019?v=glance&s=books&n=507846
Hopefully will update again soon. |

Just a quick post to say that I'm going to be in Windermere then blackpool for the next week, so won't be able to answer emails or webposts or stuff. While I'm away, watch this. Very funny (in a sick way) but distinctly NSFW. Toodles, The T.

Comments Please, The T
[For those not paying attention last time, please comment on the lj, leaving your name (you don't need to have an LJ user account to do this) not on my blogspot comments as it's always on the fritz] |

This made me laugh. It's a webcomic crossover, featuring everyone's favourite pink, apocalyptic bundle of love, choo-choo bear.

Also, the beeb is reporting that howard dean is going to be chairman of the democrats. This makes me happy, I'm a big fan of Dean and strongly believe that if te Democrats are ever going to be able to rebuild themselves as a force in american politics it will be through establishing themselves as a credible and distinctive progressive alternative, not as Republicans-Lite. I'll keep you up to date on this one, so check back soon.

If anyone has blogs that aren't either LJ friended by me or aren't listed on my blogger link, leave me a comment on my lj with the address (my blogspot comments are down again).
Going to leave it there as I'm quite ill at the mo.

Inspired by my LJ friend 8footwookie, I've made a couple of quizzes about me and my hilarious high-jinks. The second is for beginners and casual accquaintances: An introduction to Avery Studies, the first is for experts only: Avery and Averiology. Unlike him I have no real prizes to give out, but if someone does really well (without any cheating) I might.
I made a sexy Quiz for you! Take my Quiz in Avery! and then Check out the Scoreboard!
I made another Quiz for my twisted pleasure! Take Heroin! and then Check out Underage Girls! (then go to Prison, you sicko)
Eventually I will get around to doing a proper post, so be patient.
The T
Postscript: I actually thought of so many other questions that I made a 3rd quiz: I made a Quiz for you! Take my Quiz! and then Check out the Scoreboard! |

I'm still dreaming about the OTC. It's amazing how much hold it still has on my dream-world. I've been out (albeit very unhappily) for a couple of months, but still almost all of my dreams have OTC people / elements in it and about 1 in 3 is principally military in nature. The last one was fairly mundane: I mostly just remember running around with a rifle and getting the wrong rifle and having to go back and some weird discussion of death in films. I was impressed with myself, though AS I saw one of my friends and she wasn't looking that well in the dream, so I stopped to check if she was okay even though I was in trouble for being late. My dream from yesterday was at least about something else, even if I don't know what that was. It had weird games and had a lot of parts when I was inside computer games and one time when I was in the restaurant scene from the beginning of garden state. In keeping with the Garden state thing it also had Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke (J.D. and Elliot from scrubs) in it and, later on, Katie Holmes (joey from dawson's creek) though I don't really remember why or what they did. I do remember vividly a part when I caught a kid shoplifting and pretended to be a cop fir a little while, I was impressed with my law-abiding nature but the ease with which I resorted to physical force to restrain someone much younger and smaller than me is, perhaps, unsettling. I'm not going to go into a full-blown description of my dream-scape and its ins and out today, though, as in any case its not really ever linear enough to make that much sense and is usually massively routine and deeply mundane (I have in all seriousness paid the gas bill in my dreams as well as various other deeply unexciting household tasks). In (relatively) real world news, I'm back in Newcastle for the holidays. I had been looking forward to coming home much more than I have recently, but since I've been back I've been mostly bored. It underlined to me just how unexciting and repetitive my life was in Newcastle when I was here as a teenager. While it has been nice to see my various friends again, with a few exceptions we really just do exactly the same things we used to do, over and over again. I've also returned to my old, shockingly unhealthy, sleep pattern like an old friend, so I'm back to staying up until six in the morning then getting up about 2 in the afternoon. I've realised that I'm mainly just rambling incoherently in the way that I do after having been recently woken up, so I will finish presently. In closing it is probably worth noting that I've embarked on an all-out boycott of christmas this year, I've always hated and now I don't have to pretend to be festive, I'm not going to be. I don't how long it will be before I update again, so you all have a reasonably cheerful holiday season and anglo-saxon new year. |
